Last week Nicoustic was invited to a joint seminar by GCE Ocean Technology and Energy Transition Norway at Sola Strand Hotel in Stavanger. The meeting proved to be an excellent opportunity for networking and discussions related to application of Nicoustic non-intrusive level measurement technology in the renewable energy space.
Dmitri Gorski, our CEO, presented the company on stage and used this chance to point out that very early in the history of the company we won the PRIO Jump Start challenge that was based on the needs of a biorefinery in Portugal. Any process facility includes separator vessels and other tanks where level measurement often is a challenge when the facility is aging. Maintenance or refurbishment of level sensors then requires shutdown, which can be avoided with non-intrusive instrument that Nicoustic is set to develop.
Representatives from such companies as Repsol, Equinor, Aker BP and Vår Energy were also in the audience and the talk attracted attention due to the broad application area for Nicoustic level measurement sensors in the process industry and the advantage of non-intrusive level measurement.
